Hines Funeral Services, Inc. is the brainchild of its president, Nathan A. Hines.  Having been in the funeral profession for most of his life, his greatest ambition was to own and manage his own funeral home.  With a devoted and caring wife (Claudia), Nathan, decided it was time to complete a business plan that was started several years ago.  With an undying determination to see his dream complete, he asembled a board of directors and investors to set out and establish a funeral home that cared for families before, during and after the funeral.  Nathan did this by refusing to take "no" for an answer, even though he was turned down by five banks.

The Hines family realized the culmination of a dream when the keys to a piece of property were turned over to them on September 26, 2000.  The property located at 903 Starling Avenue, Martinsville, Virginia is a true testament to the belief that if it can be conceived then it can be achieved.  Believing in an all powerful God is a must, because it is then that you realize that dreams do come true.
