Mrs. America Lorraine "No Bee" Hairston Foster, 67, of 1808 Terry's Mountain Road, Martinsville, Virginia departed this life on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Curtis R. Spencer and the late Maggie Spencer Spencer.

She was married to Henry Edward Foster.

"No Bee" as she was affectionately called was retired after 18 years of service with the Henry County Public School System.  She was an active member of St. Paul High Street Baptist Church serving as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School, and the Willing Workers Ministry.  She was a former member of Mt. Zion United Holy Church in Martinsville, VA.  Her outside activities included membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, National Education Association, Virginia Education Association, Henry County Education Association, Adjunct Professor at Patrick Henry Community College, America's Future and prepared students for SATS'.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Henry, of the home; one son, Rev. Henry Todd Foster, of Richmond, VA; two daughters, Natalie F. Paddyfote, of Roanoke, VA; and Jacqueline F. Jackson, of Alexandria, VA and seven grandchildren.

Funeral servcies will be held Monday, August 31, 2009 at St. Paul High Street Baptist Church.  Rev. William A. Shackleford, will officiate.  Eulogy will be given by her son, Rev. Henry Todd Foster.  Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens in Martinsville, VA.
