According to Ecclesiastes 3:1-4, "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted... A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance..." You have made everything beautiful in its time, for everything you do remains forever.
A TIME TO BE BORN:
Delores was born in Martinsville, Virginia on March 7, 1964 to the late Edwin "Tojo" and Shirley Beamer Clark. She was a graduate of Martinsville High School where she enjoyed cheerleading, basketball and volleyball. After graduating, she attended Virginia State University. Delores was baptized as a teenager and later became a member of First Baptist Church of Martinsville, where she enjoyed mentoring young people and always looked for the positive in everyone she met. Her heart and door was always open to the little child that needed mothering the most. She planted seeds of love in their hearts and watered them with her laughter, caring words and deeds.
A TIME TO PLANT:
Delores found the love of her life. His name was William Monroe Stultz, Jr. On Monday, January 14, 1985, she was united in Holy Matrimony to William and to this union of 26 years; they were blessed with two children, William Monroe Stultz, III and Jasmine Samone Stultz. She nurtured and loved her children with all her heart. There was also still room for loving her special little grandchildren, Ayona Day Marie Stultz and William Dardon Bela.
A TIME TO MOURN:
Early Friday morning on her 26th Wedding Anniversary, God reached into our garden and plucked one of our finest flowers. A beautiful life ended when Delores was taken from us. Her parents, and her brother, Dr. Edwin Kimble Clark, Jr., preceded her in death. In addition to her loving and devoted husband, she leaves to cherish her memory: two children, two grandchildren, one sister, Donna Lynn (Joe) Dillard, of Martinsville, VA; one brother, Stacey (Nicole) Clark, of Chesapeake, VA; a maternal grandmother, Ressie Beamer, a mother-in-law, Ella Watkins both of Martinsville, VA; one sister-in-law, Lisa Stultz, of Manassas Park, VA two nieces, India and Madison, two nephews, Ian and Myles, her aunts and uncles and other relatives and friends.
A TIME TO REJOICE:
Her legacy will live on through the lives of her husband, children, grandchildren, loved ones community and friends. For she taught us, that we will get to heaven for what we give others, not for what we take.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Jerusalem Christian Church with Rev. Charles Whitfield, officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Family Cemetery in Martinsville, VA.
