Donald Lee "Opp" Thomas, was born March 2, 1949 in Martinsville, VA; to the late Buford and Catherine Wright.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy Thomas Macklin.

He attended Albert Harris High School and served in the US Army.  He was a avid golfer.

He was previuosly employed by Fieldcrest Cannon and Lynwood Golf and Country Club, before becoming disabled.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his sister, Reginia Wright, of the home; three brothers, Jerry Thomas and Buford Wright, Jr., both of Martinsville, VA; and Carl Wright, of Mt. Holly, NJ; a special cousin, Tony and his very sepcial aide; Brenda Dickerson, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services Chapel with Dr. Eric F. Hairston, officiating.  Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens.
