Mrs. Eleanor "Lena" Waller Stockton was born to the late Henry and Gracie Seay Waller Perkins on November 16, 1920 in Henry County, VA.  She departed this life on Monday, November 16, 2009 at her home in Henry County, VA.

She joined New Fall Creek Primitive Baptist Church in 1998, where she was the mother of the church until her death.

She was retired from Standard Garments (Hampco) after many years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Stockton; her stepfather, Guidy Hobart Perkins; two sisters sisters, Lizzie Waller Hairston and Gertrude Perkins Griggs, and one brother, Hobart perkins.

She is survived by six children: Carolyn Stockton, of Richmond, VA; William (Ella) Stockton, Jr., of Martinsville, VA; David (Karen), of Martinsville, VA; Cynthia Stockton, of Richmond, VA; Teresa (Calvin) Yarbrough, of Richmond, VA; and Benjamin (Frances) Stockton, of Martinsville, VA; four sisters, Margaret Hairston, of Cascade, VA; Mertha W. Hairston, Molois P. (Arthur) Philpott, and Gracie (George) Devins, of Martinsville, VA; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 20 at New Fall Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Axton, VA, with Elder Leon Gravely, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hairston-Stockton Family Cemetery in Martinsville, VA.
