Jacqueline Scales Harris, 45, of 924 Boden Street, Martinsville, VA died on Friday, May 28, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.  She was born to the late John Henry and Mary Frances Scales on September 15, 1964.  She graduated from Martinsville High School in 1983 and was employed by Sara Lee for 10 years until her health failed.  Jackie was baptized at Shiloh Way of the Cross Church under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Earley Dillard.  She later attended Reachout Apostolic Tabernacle under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Lorenzo Hall.

She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving and devoted husband, Kenneth R. Harris, of the home; one daughter Akrista (Kristi) L. Harris, of the home; two sons, A'Ken (Rod) R. (Angie) Harris, of Lawrenceville, GA; and Jody A. (Rebecca) Harris, of Martinsville, VA; four grandchildren, Nylen, Nathaniel, Melody and JaMae; four sisters, Delcenia L. Niblett, of Martinsville, VA; Annie (Lawrence) Hairston, of Eden, NC; Emma (Greg) Simpson, of Eden, NC; and Laura Pass, of Greensboro, NC; three brothers, John (Tawanner) Scales, Jr., of Burlington, NC; Samuel (Vickie) Scales, of Greensboro, NC nad Tommy Scales, of Axton, VA; two brothers-in-law, Larry (Linda) Harris, of Rocky Mount, VA; and Bernard (Angela) Harris, of Chatham, VA; three sisters-in-law, Barbara (Timothy) Baize, of Dry Fork, VA; Doretha (Jordan) Witcher, of Callands, VA and Deborah (Pleas) Wilson, of Cascade, VA; a special niece, Allitta Millner and nephew, Richie Niblett, both of Martinsville, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Reachout Apostolic Tabernacle with Bishop Lorenzo Hall, officiating.  Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens.
