Loronia Annette Millner, better known as "Redd", departed this life on April 6, 2010 at her home.  She was born on March 3, 1960 in Martinsville, VA to Martha "Bunch" Millner, who preceded her in death.

She attended Martinsville City Schools and graduated from Martinsville High School in 1978.  During her years in high school she excelled in basketball and was one of the fastest track stars of her era; some of her records still stand.

"Redd" was well liked and well known in the Martinsville community.  She was never one who failed to speak her mind.  "Redd" was known for her skills as a cook and excellent caterer.  She was employed in food service for most of her life and for the past ten years she worked for Richard Sarver and then his daughter, Whitney Sarver Engstrom, at Quality Catering and Event Planning (The Gallery) where she was the head cook.

She and her late granddaughter, Tiarra Niyasia "Pinky" Millner, enjoyed a special bond.  They spent a lot of quality time together, even when Tiarra was living in Charlotte.

In addition to her mother and granddaughter, Loronia "Redd" Millner was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brittany D. Millner, her grandmother, Lucille "Posse" Millner, a sister, Vanessa Dale Dalton and a brother, Ricky Millner.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, April Irvette Millner, of Martinsville, VA; four sisters, Patty M. Niblett, of Martinsville, VA; Sharon (Charles) Harper, of Kannapolis, NC; Shirley A. "Sue" Millner and Jacqueline "Jack" Millner, both of Martinsville, VA; and one brother, Isiah Tyrone Millner, of Martinsville, VA.  Her memory will also be cherished by a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM at Galilean House of Worship with Elder Robert Denzell Kellam, officiating.  Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens.
