Rev. Theo Bryant "T. B." Marsh, 87, of 569 Dogwood Drive, Martinsville, VA departed this life on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at his home.  He was born September 27, 1922 in Goldston, North Carolina the son of the late Coley and Mary Jones Marsh.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sadie Rosebud Marsh.

T. B. as he was called was a U. S. Army veteran, during World War II.  In 2004 he traveled to Paris, France to celebrate France's independence through the Normandy invasion.  While in Paris, he was bestowed with the American Society of the French Legion of Honor award.  He was also a member of the American Legion, Homer Dillard Post # 78.

On September 4, 1964, he was ordained and elected pastor of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church where he served for 38 years.  He retired December 21, 2002, and served as Pastor Emeritus.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, of seven years, Mary N. Marsh, of the home; five sons, Bryant R. (Shirley) Marsh, Julian L. (Joan) Marsh, Cletis M. (Jeannie) Marsh, all of Martinsville, VA; Victor R. (Patricia) Marsh, of Springfield, VA; and Timothy M. (Drucilla) Marsh, of Richmond, VA; two sisters, AnnaBelle (John T.) Farrington, of Durham, NC; and Maxine (Dorsett) Headen, of Sanford, NC; two brothers, Lynn D. (Margie) Marsh, of Dover, DE; and George A. (Evelyn) Marsh, of Goldston, NC; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 11:00 AM at Moral Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Eric F. Hairston, officiating.  Burial will follow with military honors at Carver Memorial Gardens.
