Sharon (Bonnie) Fountain Cobbs, daughter of Clara Hairston Fountain and the late Samuel Fountain was born on July 20, 1956 in Axton, VA;  On Thursday, October 15, 2009, a death angel moved Sharon from Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County to God's Celestial Shore where there is no more sickness, worries, sorrows or pain.

Sharon was a member of Reach Out Apostolic Tabernacle where she was in the Ladies Auxiliary and she also served on the Kitchen Committee.

Sharon was employed at Hooker Furniture Company for many years and she was a faithful member of the bowling league.  She also worked several years at Walmart and Arby's.  As a Hospice volunteer, Sharon received numerous awards.  Her work tenure and volunteer services blessed her with many friendships and acquaintances.

Sharon was formerly married to Louis Cobbs and this marriage was blessed with one son, Derrick Lamond Cobbs.  Derrick will cherish his Mother's memory with his wife Amanda and the loving grandchildren Devin and Damion Cobbs.

She also leaves to cherish her memory: two bothers, Kenneth Fountain of Martinsville, VA; and Albert (Karen) Fountain of Axton, VA; on sister, Laurnell F. (Norris) Hand, of Sanford, NC; on god child, Derrick Robertson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and frineds.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Reach Out Apostolic Tabernacle with Bishop Lorenzo Hall, officciating.  Burial will follow in the Hairston Family Cemetery, in Axton, VA.
